Biography

Sierra Slogar is a multifaceted photographer from Ottawa, Ontario. Her interest in photography started in high school and swiftly transformed into a passion. She holds an Honours Diploma in Photography from Algonquin College and experience working in the industry.

She draws inspiration from the environment around her, and her imagery reflects that. Her goal is to always create photographs that speak to the beauty of our world. A self proclaimed introvert, Sierra uses her highly observant nature, keen eye for details, and her camera as a means of communication and thoughtful engagement with her surroundings. She believes that every photo has its own narrative within.

With the ability to move fluidly across genres, her work focuses on ethical wildlife, nature, landscape, long exposure, macro, and commercial photography. Having a wide photographic range is important to her and she views versatility in terms of skills and genre as a huge advantage, allowing her to stay creative, inspired, and to continue to evolve as a photographer. She’s just as comfortable working in a studio environment as she is in the outdoors; consistently capturing compelling and professional photos under varying conditions.
